Drawing again


I decided to pick up drawing again. Mainly, it's because I want to draw some of the assets for a game idea I have, but yesterday I decided to practice by drawing the most beautiful person I know. :)

I need a lot of practice, but I still like how this came out.

T-minus one month


In exactly one month, I will be marrying my best friend. 

January 30, 2021 will merge two life stories into one, and I am looking forward to it tremendously. On that day will be the birth of a Mr. and Mrs. John and Katrina McGlone, and I couldn't be more thrilled.

I don't drink caffeine


I don't drink caffeine.

At least, that's what I say every time I quit drinking caffeine. This is probably the 5th or 6th time I have quit (cold turkey, by the way). The longest I've gone without it was almost 6 months. Usually, though, I quit for a month at a time, or a couple of weeks at a time.

My last bit of caffeine was 9 days ago on July 13, 2020, one day before my 32nd birthday, and that's because I made a few commitments this month, including:

- No social media
- No caffeine
- Write more

I'm 9 days in, and I'm doing really well! Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Parler and other sites have been deleted from my phone and logged out of, I haven't had a drop of caffeine, and my journal has more writing in it from the last 9 days than it does from the last 9 months!

So why did I title this "I don't drink caffeine" and not "I'm taking one month off caffeine?"

Well, because I've decided that who I want to be includes not drinking caffeine. It's a bold declaration, but I mean it.
